March 1956 Born in Bucharest, Romania 1989 Came to Perth, Western Australia 1990-1991 Mugurel started to draw and paint due to loneliness, he felt isolated unable to speak English and homesickness for his family, this was when Mugurel’s first interest in art ignited. 1993-1995 Preliminary and Advanced Certificate in Art & Design, North Metropolitan College TAFE 2002 Retired from work and started to paint and draw again 2003 City of Stirling Art Awards Group Exhibition City of Wanneroo Art Awards Group Exhibition 2004 Group Exhibition at Recollection, Greenwood 2005 Group exhibition and charity fundraising at Ancient Marina, Fremantle 2006 Group Exhibition at Tresillian Community Centre, Nedlands ART ’06 Group Exhibition and art auction for Starlight Children’s Foundation at Government House “Soul for Sale” solo exhibition at Arthouse Café, Leederville 2007 Met the Directors of Linton & Kay Fine Art Gallery, Subiaco and started to work on the second solo exhibition with LK Fine Art Gallery Group Art Exhibition “Be Active - Open Minds, Open Doors” at Freo Hospital and won a Special Commendation 2008 “Vis De Lunia” (Dream of Light) solo exhibition at LK Galleries , Subiaco Group exhibition at Guildford Grammar School, Guildford Group exhibition “Be Active – Open Minds, Open Doors” at Fremantle Hospital, Fremantle and won the Gino’s Car Craft Art Award Guildford Grammar Art Exhibition, by invitation, October 2008 2009 Perth College, Group Art Exhibition, by invitation, April 2009 Mazenod College, Group Art Exhibition, by invitation, August 2009 Outsider Time, solo exhibition at Linton & Kay Contemporary, Subiaco
